Student Financial Responsibilities
Payment of all administration and tuition fees is the responsibility of each student. Tuition must be paid in full at the beginning of each semester before the student attends any class. If financial difficulties prevent a student from paying all or part of his or her fees before a given semester begins, the student should consult the Director in advance. The student will be allowed to attend classes only if a plan of payment has been signed by the Director and the student and placed in the student’s file.
Students may apply for scholarship assistance, though EGST cannot guarantee that any student or applicant will receive a scholarship. Allocation of scholarship funds, unless designated privately to a particular student by a donor, is contingent upon availability of funds and administration according to written guidelines which have been established and approved by the EGST Board. Under the terms of these guidelines, all scholarships must be approved by the EGST Scholarship Committee.
Students seeking scholarship assistance are strongly encouraged to secure partial funding from their church(es). This not only has financial benefits for the student but also strengthens the ties between students and their churches, and encourages those churches both to think about student placement following graduation and also to make a greater investment in theological education in Ethiopia.
